  • Publication number: 20120145722
Abstract: An enclosure and method that includes a plurality of surrounding sidewalls that are each about a longitudinal axis forming a plurality of longitudinal axes that are substantially each co-axially positioned to one another for the plurality of surrounding sidewalls. Each surrounding sidewall including a first end portion and a second end portion with the longitudinal axis spanning therebetween, each surrounding sidewall also having an interior portion and an exterior portion. Further included in the enclosure is an attachment element disposed within each said interior portion that is operational to attach the surrounding sidewalls to one another such that each longitudinal axis is substantially co-axial resulting in two oppositely disposed sidewall free end portions. Also included in the enclosure is a pair of arcuate covers, wherein each cover is adjacent to each sidewall free end portion, wherein the covers are arced inwardly toward the interior portion.

  • Patent number: 6491054
Abstract: A modular fluid storage tank, intended for underground storage of water, utilizing alternating circular and octagonal ribs in the main body and curved, ribbed, end caps. Interconnection of the tanks uses rigid pipe or semi-flexible hose. The coupling between the pipe and the tank incorporates a fitting, integrally molded into the tank, which extends into the interior of the tank, and a flexible sleeve which fits over, and is clamped to, the fitting and the pipe. The coupling is protected from the environment and is accessible from within the tank after installation for inspection and repair without the need to excavate the tank. The tank preferably has approximately equal length and diameter for improved strength. It is relatively small and lightweight, suitable for transport to and installation at a remote location without heavy equipment.

  • Patent number: 4644592
Abstract: Disclosed is a mat for temporary use on a surface subject to exposure to a highly aqueous environment. The mat includes a water repellent mat member having a surface adapted for frictional engagement with a human body part. A non-hygroscopic, fully releaseable, pressure sensitive adhesive film is applied to at least a part of the underside of the mat member. The adhesive film secures the mat to a surface in the water-filled environment and is readily removeable therefrom without leaving a residue of the adhesive film on the surface. A removeable liner covers the adhesive film prior to application of the mat member to the surface.
