Patent number: 11950819Abstract: A bone positioning guide may include a main body member, a shaft, and a bone engagement member. The shaft can be movably connected to the main body member and have the bone engagement member rotatably coupled to its distal end. The bone engagement member can have a surface configured to engage a bone. The main body member can also include a tip opposite the bone engagement member for engaging a second bone. In use, the bone engagement member may be positioned in contact with a medial side of a first metatarsal while the tip is positioned in contact with a lateral side of a different metatarsal, such as a second metatarsal. The shaft can then be moved to advance the bone engagement member toward the tip, causing realignment of the first metatarsal.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2023Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Treace Medical Concepts, Inc.Inventors: W. Patent number: 11953706Abstract: Wavelength-selective films are visibly apparent under the selective wavelength. Wavelength-selective films typically reflect off axis the selected wavelength and therefore can provide high-contrast against a background when applied in a pattern on a substrate. However, it is difficult to apply unique patterned embedded images from film. Disclosed is a cost-effective method and construction of a patterned wavelength-selective image to a substrate. In the disclosed wavelength-selective image, wavelength-selective film particles are applied to an adhesive pattern to create the wavelength-selective image.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2019Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: 3M INNOVATIVE PROPERTIES COMPANYInventors: Kui Chen-Ho, Kenneth L. Patent number: 10421021Abstract: A system for providing guidance of a ride vehicle on a track of a park ride, e.g., a vehicle or car of a roller coaster, that is adapted to provide side guide wheel suspension with a design that requires significantly less maintenance than the traditional pin and bushing configuration. The system includes a side guide assembly includes two spring members, which may each take the form of a leaf spring, that are directly mounted to the main support of the bogie assembly (e.g., the load wheel assembly, the up stop assembly, and the support frame of the bogie assembly). The spring members are adapted to provide anchor points for the side guide wheel shafts that each side guide wheel is mounted onto for rotation. When the spring members are leaf springs, the eyes of each leaf spring may form the anchor points or shaft supports for the wheel rotation shafts.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2017Date of Patent: September 24, 2019Assignee: DISNEY ENTERPRISES, INC.Inventors: John D. Publication number: 20130194406Abstract: A targeted delivery of content and related metadata is made to users of various types of electronic devices that are adapted to render or play the content. Images of each user are captured at various times while various items of the content are being played. According to one embodiment the images are processed via one or more facial recognition algorithms so that the identity of each of the users, including their names, is determined. This data is stored in a central server thereby establishing a database of profiles of these users. The profiles are comprised of tracking information of content played by each of the users on a per-content basis. The central server either uses this tracking information directly or transmits it to another server or another business entity, such as for example another content provider, for use by the other business entity.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2012Publication date: August 1, 2013Inventors: Kai Liu, John D.
