  • Publication number: 20210156822
Abstract: In one implementation, a mobility-based ion separation system includes a first ion channel extending between a first end and a second end, and configured to receive an ion packet. The separation system includes a controller configured to apply a first voltage signal and a second voltage signal to a first plurality of electrodes adjacent to the first ion channel. The first plurality of electrodes are configured to generate, based on receipt of the first voltage signal, a first traveling drive potential that travels at a first speed along a first direction, the first direction extending from the first end to the second end. The first plurality of electrodes are configured to generate, based on receipt of the second voltage signal, a second DC potential decreasing along a second direction, the second direction extending from the second end to the first end.

  • Publication number: 20210104393
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for ionizing a surface. In one implementation, an ionization source may include a microhollow cathode plasma or micro cavity plasma (MCP)-based ion source having a cavity and generating a plasma. A gas stream may pass through the cavity and transport the plasma. The source may further include one or more conductive electrodes located downstream from the MCP and configured to have a potential relative to the MCP such that positive and negative ions included in the plasma are carried through the electrodes by the gas stream. In another implementation, a mixer may mix a dopant (e.g. water) with the gas stream (e.g. air) entering the discharge. The disclosure also relates to a surface ionization probe.

  • Publication number: 20210093672
Abstract: Described herein are tissue grafts derived from the placenta. The grafts are composed of at least one layer of amnion tissue where the epithelium layer has been substantially removed in order to expose the basement layer to host cells. By removing the epithelium layer, cells from the host can more readily interact with the cell-adhesion bio-active factors located onto top and within of the basement membrane. Also described herein are methods for making and using the tissue grafts. The laminin structure of amnion tissue is nearly identical to that of native human tissue such as, for example, oral mucosa tissue. This includes high level of laminin-5, a cell adhesion bio-active factor show to bind gingival epithelia-cells, found throughout upper portions of the basement membrane.

  • Patent number: 10929907
Abstract: Providing an automation platform for the Internet-of-Things (IoT) includes receiving a request to access a marketplace to build a desired mashup of IoT-enabled Nodes for the automation platform, where the marketplace allows a search for and purchase of the IoT-enabled nodes, where a node is network-enabled device, sensor, or service, and where the automation platform allows performing automated tasks using the IoT-enabled nodes based on events for triggering evaluation, statuses for use in conditional statements, and actions for when a set of conditions are satisfied. A search term is received for the desired mashup and a presentation of a list of automation platform blueprints, nodes, services, and end points that match the search term is initiated. An end point is selected from the initiated presentation and a node builder tool is accessed that permits systematic configuration of a node for the selected end point for compatibility with the automation platform.

  • Patent number: 10915897
Abstract: Methods and systems related to the use of tokenization services in payment processing systems are disclosed. The methods and systems include token translation services, token maps used as the basis for customer data models, specific approaches for securing the token maps and associated data, and the efficient storage of the token maps and associated data to facilitate enhanced payments experiences and analytics. One method includes transmitting a tokenization request with an encrypted payment account number from a POS to a tokenization service, receiving a token from the tokenization service in response to the tokenization request, salting the token with data to produce a salted token, encrypting the salted token using a secure processor on the POS, mapping the encrypted salted token to the payment account number in a map, and storing the map and the encrypted salted token in a memory on the secure processor on the POS.
