  • Patent number: 12775033
Abstract: A system for monitoring impedance of an electrical connection device includes a first connection port, a second connection port, a first impedance element, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), clamping circuitry, and processing subsystem. The first connection port is configured to be electrically coupled to a first side of the electrical connection device, and the second connection port is configured to be electrically coupled to a second side of the electrical connection device. The ADC includes a first input port and a second input port. The first input port is electrically coupled to the first connection port, and the second input port is electrically coupled to the second connection port via the first impedance element. The clamping circuitry is electrically coupled to at least one of the first input port and the second input port. The processing subsystem is configured to determine impedance of the electrical connection device.
