    Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for collecting and transmitting data. In one embodiment, a computer program (or code) is implemented on a computer-readable medium. In this embodiment, computer code is adapted to establish a connection between a workstation and a central server, collect data from the workstation, write the collected data to the central server, and sever the connection between the workstation and the central server. Correspondingly, another embodiment is a method comprising the steps of establishing a connection between a workstation and a central server, collecting data from the workstation, writing the collected data to the central server, and severing the connection between the workstation and the central server.
