Publication number: 20240068626Abstract: A recovery unit configured to re-inject lost or fugitive emissions back into a pipeline. These configuration may include a pressure vessel that can hold gas (or other fluid) that might vent to atmosphere from, for example, a valve or like flow control. A pump may couple with the pressure vessel. In use, this pump can draw fluid out of the pressure vessel and pressurize it to inject back into the pipeline, typically downstream of the valve. The pump may utilize upstream pressure as a power source.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2022Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Harold Randall Smart, John Dee Kelley, Chengbao Wang, Vinh Do, Melissa Gayle Allin

Patent number: 7726177Abstract: An apparatus for sensing a constituent in an environment including a sensor circuit and a suppression circuit. The sensor circuit has a sensor element and an operating state control element. The sensor element senses the constituent by presenting an electrical parameter which varies as a function of a degree of the constituent. The control element maintains the sensor at a preferred operating state. A detected electrical parameter of said sensor element is subject to error resulting from a leakage of electrical current between the control element and the sensor element. The suppression circuit reduces or stops the leakage to reduce the error.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 2007Date of Patent: June 1, 2010Assignee: Detector Electronics CorporationInventors: Morton Lee Schlesinger, Anthony Charles Young, John Dee King

Patent number: 5670931Abstract: The present invention impresses the data on the power signal by utilizing a saturable core reactor. The saturable core reactor uses two cores. Each core has both load windings and control windings. The control windings are selectively energized to alter an electrical characteristic of the current passing through the load windings. The saturable core reactor is designed with cores made of a highly magnetically permeable material so that the cores are easily saturated. The cyclical saturation of the cores achieved by the load current, and the selective saturation of the cores achieved by selectively applying a control current, results in "deformations" being selectively formed at the zero crossings of the load current waveform. These "deformations" can be selectively formed on the power signal to represent a binary data stream.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 1994Date of Patent: September 23, 1997Assignee: Baker Hughes IncorporatedInventors: Gordon Lee Besser, Cecil Glynn Davis, Edward Bryant Tickell, Jr., Dick Lee Knox, John Dee Martin, Jr.
