  • Patent number: 9694721
Abstract: A vehicle child safety seat alert system for alerting a caregiver if a child has been left behind in a vehicle. The vehicle child safety seat alert system includes a seat component configured to determine whether a child is sitting on the seat component, identify a Bluetooth signal from the target vehicle and use that signal to determine when the vehicle is turned off, and duplicate an RF signal that actuates the vehicle's sensory alarm system so as to be able to selectively actuate the vehicle's sensory alarm system. In use, with the seat component placed under a child's seat, whenever the vehicle has been turned off, if a child is still on top of the seat component, the seat component will wirelessly actuate the vehicle sensory alarm system after a predetermined period of time.

  • Patent number: 8587651
Abstract: A surveillance video system may include a surveillance image database storing a sequence of surveillance image files for a common area having image acquisition time metadata associated therewith, the sequence of surveillance image files defining an image acquisition rate. A processor may cooperate with the surveillance image database and may be configured to transcode the surveillance image files into a sequence of surveillance video frames retaining the image acquisition time metadata and at a video frame rate different from the image acquisition rate. The processor may also be configured to assemble a surveillance video transport stream from the sequence of surveillance video frames and retaining the image acquisition time metadata.

  • Patent number: 8477188
Abstract: A surveillance video system may include a surveillance image database storing a sequence of surveillance image files for a common area having geospatial metadata associated therewith. A processor may cooperate with the surveillance image database and configured to transcode the surveillance image files into a sequence of surveillance video frames retaining the geospatial metadata. The processor may also be configured to assemble a surveillance video transport stream from the sequence of surveillance video frames retaining the geospatial metadata, and to selectively deliver the surveillance video transport stream retaining the geospatial metadata to at least one surveillance video user.

  • Publication number: 20040226253
Abstract: A door molding for use with doors closing openings into food-chilling compartments, and the like, is aligned to a horizontal edge of the door and extends from one vertical side of the door to the opposite vertical side. The door molding has a back surface adjacent to the door and a convex outer surface. An elongated side surface near the horizontal edge of the door is substantially perpendicular to the door and extends from the back surface to the convex outer surface. A beveled surface opposite to the elongated side surface extends from the back surface to the convex outer surface. Rounded sides near the vertical sides of the door extend from the back surface to the convex outer surface. A plurality of cavities in the base extend from the back surface into the base toward the convex outer surface. A method of fabricating the door molding is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20040226141
Abstract: A reversible handle for a door having left and right door edges includes a grip generally perpendicular to the left and right door edges and spanning between two handle coupling members. The grip is reversibly positionable in proximity to either of the left or right door edges. A handle extension is coupled to the grip by a connector plate that couples a first end of the handle extension to an adjacent one of the two handle coupling members. The connector plate is configured to couple the handle for use with either a left-hand or right-hand door. The handle extension extends away from the connector plate in a direction generally opposite the grip and couples with a door hinge on the opposite side of the door. The grip is symmetrically configured, such that the grip can be positioned for left-hand or right-hand door opening without turning the handle on the door surface.
