  • Patent number: 10051754
Abstract: An assembly includes a housing having a major face, a first minor face extending distally from a first side of the major face, and a second minor face extending distally from a second side of the major face. The major face, the first minor face, and the second minor face define an opening of the housing. An extension member extends distally from the major face between the first minor face and the second minor face, and is folded back over an edge of the major face to define a load-bearing surface. A lever coupled to a tray can contact and roll along the load bearing surface in response to an applied force to eject the tray from the housing.

  • Publication number: 20160146992
Abstract: A decorated lens has a transparent layer applied within a first area of the lens, wherein the transparent layer is transparent to light in a visible band and transparent to light in an infrared band. The decorated lens also includes a dichroic filter layer applied within the first area of the lens, wherein the dichroic filter layer is transparent to the light in the infrared band. The transparent layer and the dichroic filter layer in combination create a visibly opaque coating on the first area of the lens.

  • Publication number: 20140321097
Abstract: An assembly (600) includes a substrate (601), an electrical component (1202), and a shield (400). The electrical component is disposed beneath the shield, with both being coupled to a major face (602) of the substrate. The shield can include an upper surface (401) including one or more indentations (408,409) disposed above, and extending toward, the electrical component. A shim (1106) or an injected material (1209) can be substituted for, or used with, the indentations.

  • Patent number: 8637781
Abstract: An improved water sealing side key system for use in electronic device 24, such as but not limited to a mobile phone, and which provides for the construction of the seal assembly 21 as a rigid frame 29 and an elastomeric sealing material that allows for both a compressive and circumferential (perimeter) seal 28 as well as the overall non-binding movement of a side key 20 within the seal and the ability to closely control the thickness, tolerance spacing and tactile feel of the side key 20.

  • Patent number: 6198444
Abstract: A double pole limit switch (340) includes an insulator (410), a conductive spring element (420), and a conductive element (430). The conductive spring element is attached to the insulator for providing spring coupling between a substrate (210) and the insulator, and has a first electrical contact (355) and a conductive substrate attachment portion (425). The conductive element is attached to the insulator and has a second electrical contact (350) and a conductive actuator feature (435). The first and second electrical contacts are moved into a plane of the conductive substrate attachment portion by application of opposing forces to the conductive actuator feature and the conductive substrate attachment portion.

  • Patent number: 5346401
Abstract: An electrical connector (100) for translating from a first plurality of interconnects (108) formed at a first pitch to a second plurality of interconnects (125) formed at a second pitch smaller than the first pitch comprises a first heat seal connector (105), which includes the first plurality of interconnects (108), and a second heat seal connector (120), which includes the second plurality of interconnects (125). The electrical connector (100) further comprises a translation circuit (110), which includes a first set of outer terminals (115) formed at the first pitch, wherein the first set of outer terminals (115) is aligned with and electrically coupled to the first plurality of interconnects (108). The translation circuit (110) further includes a second set of outer terminals (548) formed at the second pitch, wherein the second set of outer terminals (548) is aligned with and electrically coupled to the second plurality of interconnects (125).
