  • Patent number: 11878060
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods of immunization and methods for generating antibodies using compositions comprising cationic lipids and polynucleotide molecules, such as polyribonucleotide molecules, e.g., mRNA, which code for immunogens (e.g., a target protein or a fragment thereof).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 4, 2017
Date of Patent: January 23, 2024
    Assignee: Novartis AG

  • Publication number: 20170000530
Abstract: A spinal manipulation device (30; 80; 90; 100) adapted to protect, in use, a spinal cord from excessive axial and/or shear translations, the spinal manipulation device comprising a guide (31, 32; 81, 82, 83; 91, 92, 93; 101, 102, 103) configured to constrain, in use, movement of a first arm (35; 86; 96;106) relative to a second arm, the first arm and the second arm being fixable to and extending from a segment of spine undergoing manipulation, wherein, in use, the guide constrains movement of the first arm (35; 86; 96; 106) relative to the second arm (36; 87; 97; 107) to be about a substantially fixed centre of rotation located at least partially within the segment of spine undergoing manipulation, thereby protecting the spinal cord from excessive axial and/or shear translations.

  • Patent number: 6660115
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a ceramic matrix composite comprises forming a slurry comprising a ceramic sol, filler particles and a solvent and forming laminates of fibers (12). The laminates of fibers (12) are impregnated with the slurry and are stacked (14) on a mold (10). The stack (14) of laminates of fibers (12) is covered by a porous membrane (16), a breather fabric (18) and a vacuum bag (20). The vacuum bag (20) is evacuated and is heated to a temperature of 60° C. for 10 hours to produce a ceramic matrix composite. The ceramic matrix composite is then heated to a temperature of 1200° C. at atmospheric pressure to sinter the ceramic matrix composite.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 18, 2002
Date of Patent: December 9, 2003
    Assignee: Rolls-Royce plc
Inventors: Edwin G Butler, Anthony G Razzell, John Dominy, Paul A Doleman, Ihsan A H Al-Dawery
  • Publication number: 20030120565
Abstract: A system and method track inventory composed of a plurality of items is provided. The system and method includes the steps of establishing ownership of a first number of the items by a first owner, establishing ownership of a second number of the items by a second owner, disposing of one of the items in a transaction, and establishing ownership of the disposed one of the items as a function of a parameter of the transaction.
