  • Patent number: 10467172
Abstract: A mass data storage system includes a number of communicatively coupled storage drives powered and controlled by shared control electronics. The shared control electronics are configured to transmit analog read/write signals through an interconnect to each of the multiple individually selectable storage drives. The interconnect bi-directionally couples the control electronics to each of the multiple selectable storage drives.

    Assignee: SEAGATE TECHNOLOGY LLC
Inventors: John Wayne Shaw, II, Philip Jurey, Robert John Dore, Jr., Anthony John Pronozuk
  • Patent number: 10387337
Abstract: An apparatus includes a communication interface, a controller, and a power section. The communication interface is configured to receive power from an external host to the apparatus. The controller is configured to limit a current drawn by the communication interface to a predetermined value when the apparatus is powered through the external host. The power section is configured to generate a first voltage from a portion of the limited current drawn by the communication interface. The first voltage powers a data storage circuitry. The power section is further configured to store electrical charges received from another portion of the limited current drawn by the communication interface. The power section is further configured to generate a second voltage from the stored electrical charges in response to a signal from the controller. The second voltage supplements the first voltage during high power events by the data storage circuitry.

  • Publication number: 20100215227
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a system for obtaining and analysing image pairs, obtained as sections of specimen. The invention facilitates registration of two corresponding images, one from each section of the specimen. The invention includes performing a registration process of the two images thereby obtaining a mathematical transformation rule and afterwards using said transformation rule for each image field identified in one image allowing that the corresponding image field in the other image may be identified as well. After the corresponding image pairs have been obtained using the method of the present invention, the sections can be assessed, such as by identifying the counting events for at least one type of object on the image fields within at least one corresponding image pair, optionally using automatic means.

  • Publication number: 20100200648
Abstract: A system for providing consumer access to product origin information. The system includes a server configured to assign a tracking identifier (TID) relating to a specific product and a product information portal (PIP) operably connected to the server, the PIP containing a product information record (PIR) related to an individual TID and providing an interface to a consumer access area such that a consumer accessing the PIP can view a PIR for a selected product.

  • Patent number: 4424818
Abstract: An insertion tool for use with an improved cardiac pacing lead of the type having a barbed electrode and a flexible base pad disposed over the electrode. The insertion tool is provided with a slot for engaging the flexible base pad and a groove for engaging the lead body at an angle to the base pad, exposing the barbed electrode. The lead body is provided with an enlarged diameter segment for frictionally engaging the insertion tool.
