Patent number: 9558270Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for tagging search results, organizing tagged search results for later access from various devices, public sharing of tagged search results, and/or providing targeted content based upon search results tagged by a user. That is, a user may tag a search result (e.g., a website, an image, a social network profile, etc.), such as through a one-click user input, with a tag to create a tagged search result. The tagged search result may be organized into a public tag collection for sharing and/or exploration of tagged search results by other users. The tagged search result may be organized into a personal tag collection for later access by the user from any device. Because the tagged search result may be indicative of an interest of the user, targeted content associated with the tagged search result may be provided to the user.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2013Date of Patent: January 31, 2017Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Anthony Adam Hanses, Sarthak Deepak Shah, Lawrence Brian Ripsher, Marguerite R. Patent number: 8738535Abstract: The software site licensing system includes a client site having a target unit and a license sales site for generating a corresponding site license. The sales site receives an order for a target unit from the client and sends the physical order to a warehouse for shipping. The sales site determines the intangible portion of the order and establishes a virtual warehouse for the client to inventory the intangibles (license components). The warehouse notifies the sales site of the unique identifiers on the target prior to shipping so the sales site can link the en-route target with the client. The client accesses its personal virtual warehouse and selects the license components desired for the site license. The system assembles the site license and upon request, transmits the site license from the virtual warehouse to the target unit for installation.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2003Date of Patent: May 27, 2014Assignee: Inter-Tel (DE) IncInventors: Arthur Louis Gaetano, Jr., Jerry Gin, John Durant, Michael Mathew Merriam

Patent number: 8010970Abstract: The forms hosting system allows a developer to design custom Outlook form regions containing standard and custom managed controls using popular development tools. The forms hosting system provides a runtime wrapper that appears to Outlook as a normal ActiveX control. When Outlook invokes the runtime wrapper control, the runtime wrapper control loads the managed controls defined by the developer. The runtime wrapper control translates messages received from Outlook into messages understood by the managed controls.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 2007Date of Patent: August 30, 2011Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Dimitar Birov, Michael W. Morton, Daniel A. Molina, John Durant, Thomas E. Quinn, Michael Shneerson, David A. Whitechapel

Patent number: 7229046Abstract: This invention is a servo mounting system, which allows a servo with a rotating output shaft to directly power an aircraft control surface. A specially designed servo mount securely positions the servo with the central axis of its rotational output shaft on, and axially aligned with, the hinge line of the control surface it drives. The servo shaft and servo body are directly connected to the airframe and control surface, thereby conserving rotational motion while driving control movement. Electronic means are then used to control the neutral point and the limit of travel of the servo. The system eliminates lost motion without generating adverse linear loads within the drive assembly.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2005Date of Patent: June 12, 2007Inventor: Cecil John DuRant

Patent number: 4460307Abstract: Compaction apparatus for a refuse collection vehicle provided with a body having a hopper to receive refuse. The hopper has opposed enclosure side walls. Hydraulic motor members are positioned adjacent the enclosure side walls and operate a packer member which extends between the enclosure side walls and which forces refuse from the hopper into another portion of the body for compaction of the refuse. The hydraulic motor members are thus positioned so that a maximum opening into the hopper is provided for receiving the refuse and for compaction thereof, and the packer member is of maximum length between the side walls to compact a maximum volume of refuse in the body during each compaction cycle.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 1982Date of Patent: July 17, 1984Assignee: Dempster Systems Inc.Inventors: John A. Durant, R. Houston Ratledge
