  • Patent number: 10961682
Abstract: The present disclosure includes systems, devices, and methods for correcting foundation heave. Some systems may include a compressed air source configured to propel air having a relative humidity that is less than or equal to 30 percent and one or more air injection devices each configured to be disposed within an earth formation to deliver the air. Some air injection devices include an elongated body having: a length that is greater than or equal to 3 feet, a sidewall that defines a conduit extending along a longitudinal axis of the elongated body, the conduit being configured to be in fluid communication with the compressed air source, and a plurality of perforations, each extending through the sidewall and in fluid communication with the conduit.

  • Patent number: 10004797
Abstract: A method of quickly producing a vaccine for a biotype of pathogenic microorganism is described, where a nucleic acid molecule or fragment thereof is obtained from a biological sample from an animal exposed to the microorganism, a protective molecule is prepared based on the nucleic acid molecule of interest or fragment thereof, and administered to an animal which has been or is as risk of being exposed to the microorganism. A protective response to the biotype of the microorganism is obtained in the animal.

  • Patent number: 9650634
Abstract: Compositions and methods of protecting aquatic invertebrates from disease is shown. In one embodiment, dsRNA or antisense RNA to a nucleic acid molecule of the disease-causing microorganism is prepared and delivered to the animal. In another embodiment, a nucleic acid molecule of the disease-causing microorganism is delivered to the animal. In another embodiment, the RNA or nucleic acid molecule is delivered to the animal by replicon particle. In a further embodiment, the protective molecule is delivered to the digestive tract of the animal. Protection from disease is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5987797
Abstract: We disclose a new switch-barrel system for firearms, particularly centerfire rifles, which permits the ready exchangeability of barrels upon a single action/stock assembly. Barrels may be quickly and easily exchanged under field conditions using a minimum of simple, lightweight equipment, without removing the action from the stock. Barrels of many different weights and calibers may be used on a single firearm, leading to great versatility. Barrels are free-floating in a manner similar to most benchrest rifles, ensuring uniform barrel harmonics upon firing. The system relies on a secondary set of fine-pitched threads and a locking ring to effect the securing of the barrel to the action, which acts to repeatably draw all barrels into invariable coaxial alignment with the action, thus insuring a return to essentially the same point of impact. The system is adaptable to a broad range of existing firearms, and does not require a proprietary action.
