    Abstract: Nerve conduction studies (NCS) are used to diagnose many types of disorders and are being employed more and more frequently. Current methods for distance measurement during a NCS are manual and often time consuming and vulnerable to considerable error. A device and system for electronically measuring distance during a NCS and automatically transferring the data is disclosed. In one embodiment, the device incorporates a contact wheel to travel across the surface of the subject's skin to measure the applicable distance.
