  • Patent number: 4814379
Abstract: Compositions useful as a material for fuel lines comprising an intimate blend of:(I) from 45 to 55% by weight of a polyamide and(II) from 55 to 45% by weight of a mixture of(a) From 70 to 90% by weight of high density polyethylene grafted with an alpha, beta-olefinically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride,(b) From 5 to 15% by weight of linear low density polyethylene grafted with an alpha, beta-olefinically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride, and(c) From 5 to 15% by weight of ethylene/propylene/diene rubber grafted with an alpha, beta-olefinically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydrideare described.

  • Patent number: 4495110
Abstract: A method of continuously forming an acid fluoride from CO, HF and an olefin comprising continuously mixing all of the reactants in an area of high turbulence and continuously transferring the mixed reactants from the area of high turbulence into a continuous reactor where most of the reaction takes place. This enables the reactants to be inexpensively combined and yet prevents the formation of a prohibitive amount of heat from this exothermic reaction.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 26, 1981
Date of Patent: January 22, 1985
    Assignee: Ashland Oil, Inc.
    Inventor: John E. Corn
  • Patent number: 4160785
Abstract: Organic diamines can be prepared by hydrogenating a preformed diimine in the presence of methanol and in the further presence of the tertiary alkyl mono-amine used to make the diimino compound. The diamino compounds thus obtained are useful as catalysts in the preparation of polyphenylene oxide resins.
