    Abstract: A remote ground terminal for transmitting a modulated data signal to a satellite. The remote ground terminal comprises a source of data signals, a demodulator for receiving a data signal and coupling the data signal to a transmitter, and for producing a power control signal during the period the data signal is present at an input of the demodulator. The power control signal is coupled to the transmitter and controls the operation of the transmitter such that the transmitter only receives power when the demodulator produces the power control signal. During the period the transmitter receives power, it functions to provide and modulate a carrier signal in accordance with the data signal received from the source of data signals.

    Abstract: A misting head assembly including a cylindrical rotor having a chordal flat, a center post having a flow passage, a swivel arm having a tubular portion with a radial through opening mounted for swiveling about the rotor and a connecting portion. The swivel arm connecting portion is adapted for removable mounting of a spray nozzle thereto. The rotor flat defines with the center post housing portion and swivel arm tubular portion a longitudinal flow passage for conducting water from the center post to the swivel arm opening to be sprayed outwardly therefrom through the nozzle when the swivel arm is aligned with the chordal flat of the rotor. In one embodiment, seals are provided for sealingly preventing flow of water from the longitudinal flow passage when the swivel arm is swung from alignment with the chordal flat. An indicium is provided on one end of the rotor for indicating the open position of the nozzle.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing aqueous spray mist onto produce and the like provided in an upwardly opening case space. Water delivery to the nozzles is provided by an upwardly extending supply pipe within the case, eliminating the need for overhead mounting structure. The spray pattern and timed delivery are coordinated to assure proper misting of the produce with minimum adverse effect on customers selecting produce from the case.

    Abstract: Apparatus for maintaining a transmit radio signal frequency in a predetermined frequency relationship with a received radio signal. A common voltage controlled frequency source serves as an Lo signal generator for both the receiver and transmitter. A reference frequency oscillator is phase compared with a receive IF signal to derive a control voltage for the voltage controlled frequency source. The resulting phase lock loop provides transmit signal frequency control with respect to a received signal.

The moisture applied to the produce articles is only film-thick so as to minimize flow-off from the articles. Producing the mist includes selectively, hydraulic pressure means, or air pressure means. The mist is controlled by automatic on-off control means and is produced by misting nozzles centrally positioned above the shelf means for supporting various produce articles within the refrigerator display means.
