  • Publication number: 20180319838
Abstract: The present disclosure relates, in some aspects, to protein-ligand localized conjugation technology with respect to immobilized functional proteins for affinity enrichment and/or modified proteins for therapeutic applications.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 4, 2016
    Publication date: November 8, 2018
    Applicant: Biogen MA Inc.
Inventors: Carl CO, John E. COUGHLIN
  • Patent number: 9040234
Abstract: The invention relates to design of short oligonucleotides and analogs thereof (such as, di-, and trinucleotide compounds) useful for various therapeutic applications. It is believed that the compounds of the invention can be used as antiviral agents, anticancer agents and so on. In certain embodiments, the compounds of the invention can modulate immune-stimulatory pathways and non-TLR pathways. The invention also relates to design modified oligonucleotides for therapeutic applications, by excluding nucleotide segments having off-target effects from the modified oligonucleotides. In another aspect, the invention provides pharmaceutical compositions including one or more compounds of the invention. It is believed that the compounds and compositions as described herein have therapeutic utility against a variety of diseases, including viral diseases, autoimmune diseases (such as, allergy, asthma, and inflammatory disorders) and cancer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 25, 2011
Date of Patent: May 26, 2015
    Assignee: SPRING BANK PHARMACEUTICALS, INC.
Inventors: Radhakrishnan P. Iyer, John E. Coughlin

  • Patent number: 4135702
Abstract: A metal batch preheating method comprises positioning an elongate mass of metal scrap on a conveyor in a tunnel furnace for heating such furnace having longitudinally spaced transversely extending zones of greater and lesser heat, the conveyor being loaded with metal for the length of the tunnel furnace except for the last heat zones therein. The metal is thereafter moved through a plurality of "advance and heat" movements in the furnace during the batch heating cycle so that the metal is exposed to both greater intensity and lesser intensity heat zones as it is preheated after which the metal is discharged for use or further processing.
