  • Publication number: 20250149915
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a mobile memory module in an automatic transfer switch (ATS) allow the memory module to be easily removed from a controller of the ATS. The mobile memory module is a discrete, nonvolatile memory module that stores operational settings for the ATS and can be mounted and removed via a removable fastener. When thus mounted, the mobile memory module is connected to a signal path that allows data communication with a microprocessor on the controller. The microprocessor can retrieve operational settings from the mobile memory module as needed and store updated or new operational settings on the mobile memory module as required. In some embodiments, the mobile memory module has a protective outer housing that is hardened to withstand catastrophic transfer switch failure while still retaining all operational settings stored on the module.

  • Publication number: 20240111499
Abstract: A method includes identifying an enablement request to control enablement of a first software configurable accessory (SCA) of available SCAs that are each configured to interact, when activated, with at least one corresponding hardware components of a plurality of hardware components associated with the ATS, wherein the first SCA is configured to interact, when activated, with a first hardware component. The method further includes enabling the first SCA responsive to identifying the enablement request, wherein SCAs of available SCAs that have been enabled are available to be activated, and displaying an interactive graphical element (IGE) that corresponds to the first SCA at an interface of the ATS when the first SCA is enabled, wherein the IGE is configured to facilitate interaction between a user and the first SCA for activating and/or providing input to the first SCA for interacting with the first hardware component.

  • Patent number: 9656024
Abstract: The invention resides in a hand-held medicament delivery device which comprises a housing containing a first electrical circuit and a battery, a medicament delivery mechanism, and a protective cap releasably securable to the housing. The housing also includes a contactless switch and the cap a switch actuator. The switch is operable between an on state in which the first electrical circuit is connected to the battery and an off state in which the first electrical circuit is disconnected from the battery. The invention also resides in a method of controlling power in a hand held medicament delivery device comprising the steps of actuating a contactless switch in the housing by an actuator in a housing cap when the switch and actuator are in proximity, the actuation of the switch signalling to a microprocessor that the cap is on the housing, detecting the status of the device by the microprocessor, and only if the microprocessor determines the device is inactive, powering down the device.
