    Abstract: A tool is described for the removal of hardened plaque and tarter from the interproximal spaces of the mouth. The tool is designed to permit self-application. The tool comprises a conically-based stainless steel pick which tapers upward to a J-shaped, curved substantially flat tip, a blunted end for said tip and an elongated substantially cylindrical handle.
