  • Publication number: 20220182414
Abstract: A method for dynamically establishing a communication path for a requestor by assessing an authenticity of the requestor and a communication request is provided. The method may include, in response to receiving the communication request, dynamically determining whether to establish a communication path for the requestor to a destination though a communication network by assessing the requestor based on one or more authentication rules, wherein the one or more authentication rules are based on first information associated the communication network, second information about the requestor, and third information from the requestor. The method may further include, in response to determining that the requestor satisfies the one or more authentication rules, dynamically establishing the communication path for the requestor on the communication network according to one or more communication attributes associated with the requestor.

  • Publication number: 20220124080
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for utilizing multi-factor authentication to authenticate an Internet of Things (IoT) device. The identity credentials of neighboring IoT device(s) are obtained by the IoT device to be authenticated. Upon providing a request to the authentication system to prove its identity, the IoT device provides the authentication system a first factor credential, such as a username and password. The authentication system, upon confirming the accuracy of the first factor credential, challenges the IoT device to provide the second factor credential. After receiving the challenge from the authentication system to provide the second factor credential, the IoT device returns the second factor credential that was generated based on the obtained identity credentials from the neighboring IoT device(s).

  • Patent number: 11164195
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include methods, systems and computer program products for predicting customer purchasing behavior. Aspects include receiving, from a sensor, first customer sensor data about a first customer in a store, wherein the first customer sensor data includes accompaniment data about one or more accompaniments of the first customer. A determination is made that the first customer is known based at least in part on the first customer sensor data. Based at least in part on determining that the first customer is known, a customer profile for the first customer is accessed, wherein the customer profile includes historical customer data. The accompaniment data and the customer profile are analyzed to determine a first sales strategy for the first customer. One or more sales techniques can be generated based on the sales strategy for the first customer.

  • Patent number: 11092452
Abstract: A computer implemented navigation method that provides a safest route by considering manual driver risk. The method may include providing at least two sets of directions from a user start location to a final user location based on a user navigation system and user permission for data access; and ranking said at least two sets of directions by a baseline safety value. The method may also include determining in real time travelers that are present on passageways for the at least two sets of directions; and ranking the travelers according to travel risk behavior. Finally, the method may assign an aggregate risk score to each passageway for the at least two sets of directions for each passageway specific grouping of the travels having the ranked travel risk behavior to provide a safety ranked set of the at least two sets directions to the final user location.

  • Patent number: 11095653
Abstract: A trusted device responsible for evaluating trustworthiness of unknown devices is provided. Trust evaluation rules usable to determine whether to authorize unknown devices to access a resource are received. A request to access the resource and device evaluation attributes are received from an unknown device. The trustworthiness of the unknown device is evaluated based upon the device evaluation attributes using the trust evaluation rules. In response to determining that the unknown device is trustworthy, a credential for accessing the resource is provided to the unknown device, and the device evaluation attributes of the unknown device and an identification of the unknown device are sent to a registrar for the resource.

  • Patent number: 11042574
Abstract: A search term used in an online search is analyzed to determine a concept corresponding to the search term, the concept being present in an ontology related to a subject-matter domain of the search term. A set of concepts is selected from the ontology, including a related concept related to the concept in the organization of the ontology. A set of subscriber data sources is determined where a subscriber data source in the set subscribes to a concept in the set of concepts. From the set of subscriber data sources, a subset of those subscriber data sources is identified whose data is not participating in a result set corresponding to the search term. A non-participation message is sent to a subscriber data source in the subset of subscriber data sources.

  • Patent number: 10978061
Abstract: A method, a computer system, and a computer program product for detecting voice commands. Audio is recorded by the computer system to form a recorded audio. The computer system then determines whether a voice command spoken by a first person is present in the recorded audio. If the voice command is present in the recorded audio, the computer system determines whether the voice command is directed to a second person by the first person. If the voice command is not being directed to the second person, the computer system processes the voice command, wherein processing of the voice command occurs without a wake word.

  • Patent number: 10970899
Abstract: A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product for providing an in-vehicle display of information for an object of interest. Sound data is received from a sound sensor system connected to the vehicle. The sound data is for sounds detected in an exterior environment around the vehicle. The sound data is analyzed for a presence of an object of interest. The location of the object of interest is determined using the sound data in response to detecting the presence of the object of interest. A visual indicator for the object of interest is displayed using an electronic display system in the vehicle to augment a live view of the exterior environment seen through a window of the vehicle for the in-vehicle display of the information for the object of interest to draw attention to the object of interest in the live view.
