    Abstract: Improved lubricant compositions useful as finishes for polypropylene fibers, filaments and yarns and comprised of components which meet the requirements of 21 CFR 178.3400 as indirect food additives are provided. The finish compositions are comprised of specific ethoxylated secondary linear alcohols, specific ethoxylated linear or branched alcohol phosphate esters neutralized with potassium or sodium hydroxide and water. A hydroxylic coupling agent may also be present.
