  • Publication number: 20160008890
Abstract: Improvements in an outside chamfering tool are disclosed. The outside chamfering tool is made from an assembly of pieces. The outside chamfering tool uses multiple removable and replaceable cutters. The use of multiple cutters allows the cutters to create an outside chamfer to a point. The multiple cutters help to center the part being machined by loading the part being chamfered on multiple sides. The outside chamfering tool uses four cutters placed on 90 degree quadrants. The cutting surfaces are resharpened by pushing or pulling the cutting tools out of the holder and then grasping the cutter bits in a grinder where a new cutting surface can be formed on each of the cutting surfaces collectively or individually. The cutting surfaces nest together within the holder with slight interference or friction forces hold the cutters in position.

  • Patent number: 6457248
Abstract: Attachment ears for use with a predetermined assembly of Johansson blocks, with the ears disposed at opposite ends of the assembly, for measurement of an inclination between spaced-apart surfaces of a workpiece. An indicator gage has a stationary stylus to contact a surface of one ear, and an indicator stylus to contact the inclined surface of the other ear and moveable thereon to define an arc with the stationary stylus as a fulcrum to establish an apex reading of the indicator. The gage is transferred to the workpiece with the stationary stylus and the indicator stylus contacting the two spaced-apart surfaces, and the indicator gage is moved about to provide a gage reading to determine a thickness of material to be removed from the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4425926
Abstract: An improved hair clip of unitary construction, which assembles as it is being fabricated by means of a progressive die so that no separate assembly operations are required. The hair clip includes two facing hair engaging jaws on one end, a pair of curved spring portions on the other end and intermediate therebetween a tabbed fulcrum positioned so that an operating handle formed between the spring portions can be pressed to open the jaws.
