    Abstract: A process and apparatus for shrinking plastic film over grouped articles. The apparatus includes a frame having a base and upstanding support members. A heater assembly is movably attached to the upstanding support members and is adapted to be passed over a group of products surrounded by a biaxially or preferentially oriented plastic film capable of being heat shrunk. The heater assembly carries one or more flameless, fuel gas powered, infrared heating units.
