  • Patent number: 8122271
Abstract: The present invention includes a system, method, and device for providing secure operating environments for computer systems. In one form, a method for providing a secure operating environment for a network accessible system is disclosed. The method includes accessing a delay timer having a delay time interval operably coupled to a communication module. The delay time interval may be compared to activity operably associated with the system communicating with the network. The communication module may be enabled in response to the comparison and in one form may be isolated if the communication port remains idle for a time period greater than the delay time interval.

  • Patent number: 7023997
Abstract: A secure telecommunication system 10 is provided that allows for communication between a device 14 and a receiving device 16 of encrypted data messages through a data communications network 12. The device 14 utilizes an encryption decryption engine 30 which is operable to execute a plurality of encryption algorithms. The encryption algorithms can be accessed using a key value that is used to access an encryption selection table 28. The encryption selection table 28 can indicate a number of encryption algorithms to be applied in sequence.

  • Patent number: 6973426
Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing speaker verification with speaker verification templates are disclosed. A verification unit receives an utterance from a speaker. The verification unit identifies a command associated with the utterance by performing speaker independent recognition. If a speaker verification template associated with the identified command includes adequate verification data, the verification unit eliminates a prompt for a password and verifies the speaker identity by comparing the utterance with a speaker verification template associated with the identified command.

  • Patent number: 6907123
Abstract: A secure real time voice communication system 70 is provided that allows for the secure transmission of voice communications between a sending device 72 and a receiving device 78 through the public switch telephone network 76. The device 72 uses an encryption decryption engine 30 which is capable of executing a number of encryption algorithms which are selected using an encryption selection table 80. An encryption key can be calculated from a periodic key value and a public variable key value. Further, the encryption algorithm used can be periodically changed during a voice communication session so that multiple encryption techniques can be used within the same communication session.

  • Patent number: 6233316
Abstract: A voice enhanced phone card which allows a caller to place a call by voice activated dialing only when the caller desires it is presented. A caller places a call using a standard calling card switch number and enters a predetermined service code. The voice enhanced phone card system recognizes the service code, and using known telephone switching capabilities, switches the call to a voice activated dialing system at a main feature point in the voice activated dialing system call flow. The call is then connected to a destination using the voice activated dialing routine.
