  • Patent number: 11100250
Abstract: Some methods may involve receiving, at a first node of the health network, encrypted sensor data from one or more sensors. The first node may be in a data communication path between the one or more sensors and other nodes of the health network. The method may involve decrypting, by the first node of the health network, only a portion of the encrypted sensor data, and transmitting the encrypted sensor data from the first node of the health network to a second node of the health network. The first node may be a gateway device. In some examples, the second node may be able to decrypt more of the encrypted sensor data than the first node.

  • Patent number: 10932305
Abstract: Example systems, methods, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for dynamic provisioning of wireless devices with health gateways are disclosed. One example method includes detecting, by a wireless device, a signal from a health gateway, the signal including connection information and service information; determining whether the health gateway is a suitable based on the connection information and the service information; and in response to determining that the health gateway is suitable, establishing a communications connection with the health gateway.

  • Patent number: 10880932
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for enabling a first central device to connect with a medical device with an existing connection to a second central device by broadcasting a “central priority” advertisement packet that causes the second central device to discontinue attempts to connect with the medical device (for a period of time), granting the first central device the ability to establish communication with the medical device.

  • Publication number: 20190054254
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for providing a flowmeter in a hypodermic needle device to measure the flow of a drug from a reservoir located within a hypodermic needle device through a needle assembly. In some embodiments a valve may be additionally provided to control the flow of the drug from a reservoir located within a hypodermic needle device through a needle assembly. Such functionality can help ensure the proper dosage is dispensed and/or determine when the drug is improperly dispensed.

  • Publication number: 20190054252
Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for drug delivery measurement. A medicine delivery device includes a cartridge for storing a medicine, a needle assembly coupled to a bottom of the cartridge, a piston located in the cartridge for pushing the medicine to dispense the medicine from the cartridge through the needle assembly, and a sensor configured to measure a distance between the piston and the bottom of the cartridge. The sensor includes a triangulation-based distance measurement unit, a resonant frequency-based distance measurement unit, a time-of-flight-based distance measurement unit, or a frequency-modulated continuous-wave time-of-flight-based distance measurement unit.

  • Publication number: 20190054244
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for using electrical impedance measurements to help determine whether a hypodermic needle has been inserted into the skin, thereby increasing the accuracy of information provided to the stakeholders and/or enabling other functionality based on the determination. This information can be used and/or combined with other information to help determine whether to administer the drug and/or whether the drug has been administered properly.

  • Patent number: 10187774
Abstract: A peripheral device can connect with a desired central device by broadcasting advertisement packets with specialized data flags, which may be located in certain data fields. This can increase the probability that the peripheral device will connect with the desired central device by enabling other central devices to ignore these advertisement packets.
