    Abstract: An automatic fluid control valve assembly comprising a rotary valve which is changed from fully open to fully closed by rotation of an actuating shaft through approximately a right angle, a spring for rotating the shaft from a position where the valve is open to a position where the holds the valve is closed or vice versa, a trigger mechanism which holds the valve open or closed against the action of the spring, and a solenoid for actuating the trigger mechanism when the valve is to be opened or closed.
