    Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a bracket for the proper and fireproof spacing of vertical and horizontal framing members. The bracket is a replacement for traditional wood fireblocks seen in framing. The device has extruded metal flanges for additional support and has nail hole perforations for proper fastening. There are two versions of the units, one spaced 14½ inches for 16 inches on center and 22½ inches for 24 inches on center.
