  • Patent number: 6894233
Abstract: A system for use in classifying a vehicle includes a capacitive sensor for operatively receiving a weight of a vehicle and a capacitance detector coupled to said capacitive sensor. The capacitance detector is adapted to determine a capacitance signal of the capacitive sensor in response to the capacitive sensor operatively receiving the weight of the vehicle.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 20, 2003
Date of Patent: May 17, 2005
    Assignee: The Revenue Markets, Inc.
Inventors: Robert Dingwall, Paul Milnick, John Emerick, Gerald Jameison

  • Patent number: 6434967
Abstract: A process for annealing copper or copper-containing components, such as copper tubing, and/or for selecting copper with an appropriate grain size, such that potable water in contact with the properly treated and/or selected copper, has substantially decreased copper emissions, and may comply with ANSI/NSF 61. In one preferred embodiment, an ANSI/NSF 61-compliant water cooler may be constructed using a storage tank with wrapped copper water tubing treated and/or selected in this manner. The storage tank is preferably designed from non-copper components.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 31, 2001
Date of Patent: August 20, 2002
    Assignee: Elkay Manufacturing Company

  • Patent number: 5291479
Abstract: A telecommunications system is provided to connect a plurality of dissimilar types of subscriber telecommunications devices and to provide integrated telecommunications services. The system is provided with a digital communications link comprising a PCM bus for voice and data and an HDLC coded PCM highway for control signals to create a master slave environment, wherein a central processing board operates as a master processor for a plurality of peripheral processor boards. The peripheral boards are coupled to various subscriber telecommunications devices. The CPU board is provided with hierarchical program control that includes low level program code for driving CPU board components, and mid-level program code for effecting system functions and CPU board functions. The mid-level code can also be used to create data bases relating to system configuration as well as data bases for each port associated with the peripheral boards.
