One exemplary method includes prompting a consumer to provide a biometric in connection with a transaction by the consumer, and receiving a payment account credential specific to a payment account for use in the transaction. The method also includes appending a biometric score and an indication of a biometric technology used to capture the biometric to an authorization request associated with the transaction, and transmitting, by the computing device, the authorization request to an issuer.
