Abstract: A bolt action firearm includes a receiver, a barrel coupled to the receiver, and a bolt assembly configured to operate within the receiver. The bolt assembly includes a bolt body, a bolt head coupled to the bolt body and having a clearance machined into a side of the bolt head, a front baffle configured to at least partially surround the bolt head, and a firing pin assembly including a hammer and a separate firing pin. The front baffle optionally is removable from the bolt head when rotated to a specific angle relative to the bolt head. The hammer is configured to actuate the firing pin. A magazine is configured to feed rimfire cartridges and has feed lips positioned to interface with the clearance of the bolt head during operation of the bolt assembly.
