  • Patent number: 10259503
Abstract: A sub-frame arrangement (1) in a vehicle and method thereof wherein the sub-frame arrangement comprises a sub-frame (2), a first body member, and rear attachment means for attaching said sub-frame to the first body member. The sub-frame is a dual part sub-frame comprising a lower sheet section (2b) formed in a single piece wherein said lower sheet section extends the entire length of said sub-frame. The lower sheet section is further formed with two rear portions (21) each extending backwards in the travel direction of said vehicle and the rear portions are adapted to host the rear attachment means.

  • Patent number: 9682606
Abstract: A wheel carrier mounted on a rear axle body of a vehicle, which wheel carrier comprises a supporting plate and a bearing plate. The supporting plate coincides with a “virtual king-pin axis” and the properties of the supporting plate are such that the supporting plate may bend around the “virtual king-pin axis” in the area of a flexible supporting section. The bearing plate comprises a section with such properties that the section is allowed to deflect in a lateral direction of the vehicle. When a lateral force Flateral and a brake force Fbrake are applied to the wheel carrier, e.g. during cornering and braking, the properties of the supporting plate and the bearing plate create lateral force under steer and brake force under steer.

  • Patent number: 8661933
Abstract: A brake pedal crash safety device for a vehicle in which a brake pedal arm is rotatably mounted to a first vehicle body component and has a first locking element, shaped as a circle-sector and having its geometrical center at a center of movement of the brake pedal arm. A second locking element is mounted to a second vehicle body component. The second locking element is mounted a predetermined distance from the first locking element. The predetermined distance is constant and has a predetermined amount of allowable movement therebetween for a brake pedal arm position. A crash force applied to a front of the vehicle displaces the first vehicle body component toward the second vehicle body component and the predetermined amount of allowable movement between the first and second locking elements will be closed, irrespective of a current pedal position, thereby preventing further rotation of the brake pedal arm through interlocking first and second locking elements.
