  • Patent number: 5909997
Abstract: A feeder for transferring workpieces from one press to another on a press line includes a carrier device with a linkage whose free, load-carrying end executes a horizontal linear movement on both sides of the carrier. The end of the linkage system is secured in an elongate boom whose longitudinal direction coincides with the linear movement. The boom is provided with a holder device appropriate to the workpieces and movable along the boom by an endless belt which, at the ends of the boom, runs over rollers and which, with the lower part, is secured in the holder device and, with the upper part, in the carrier device. The boom is provided with a sliding guide and is supported on the carrier device.

  • Patent number: 5337594
Abstract: An apparatus is a press line includes presses along a material flow direction for stepwise processing of a workpiece. A transfer device moves each workpiece from one press to the next in the press line. The transfer devices are displaceable transversely of the press line. Further, a carriage is included for each press for transport of tools, the carriage being drivable along tracks. To permit rapid tool change and maximum utilization of the space surrounding the press line, the carriage is provided with a first end portion fitted with equipment for transport of a tool to or from a press, and with a second end portion which carries the transfer device so that this projects cantilevered out from the carriage.

  • Patent number: 5158423
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for moving objects along a predetermined movement path, comprising a stand, a slide assembly carried by the stand, and a gripping-device attachment device connected to the slide assembly, the gripping device being intended to hold the object being moved by the arrangement. According to the invention an elongated carrier is displaceably mounted on the stand for reciprocating movement along a first straight path. The slide assembly is displaceably mounted on the elongated carrier for reciprocating movement along a second straight path which is substantially perpendicular to the first path. The slide assembly carries one end of a link system, the other end of which is free and reciprocatingly moveable along a third straight path extending perpendicularly to both the first path and the second path. The free end of the link system carries the attachment device.
