Abstract: A data storage device comprising a recording head having a high damping magnetic alloy layer including at least one magnetic alloy element, and a 5d transition element; the high damping magnetic alloy layer having a mixed face-centered cubic (fcc) and body-centered cubic (bcc) crystal structure, and the mixed fcc and bcc crystal structure comprising fcc and bcc grains, with the bcc grains having an elongated shape relative to the fcc grains, a larger size than the fcc grains, and slip deformation, thereby providing the high damping magnetic alloy layer with a damping constant of up to about 0.07.

Abstract: In a system and method providing a video with closed captioning, a processor may: provide a first website user interface adapted for receiving a user request for generation of closed captioning, the request referencing a multimedia file provided by a second website; responsive to the request: transcribe audio associated with the video into a series of closed captioning text strings arranged in a text file; for each of the text strings, store in the text file respective data associating the text string with a respective portion of the video; and store, for retrieval in response to a subsequent request made to the first website, the text file and a pointer associated with the text file and referencing the text file with the video; and/or providing the text file to an advertisement engine for obtaining an advertisement based on the text file and that is to be displayed with the video.

Abstract: A shielded rack loader makes use of a loading rack movable between a shielding structure and a storage tube. A shield plug seals the storage tube. A hoist moves the shield plug and the loading rack. A shield plug cart and a material transfer cart mate with receiving flanges of the rack loader and permit temporary storage and movement of the shield plug and of canisters of transuranic material.
