  • Patent number: 12541584
Abstract: A device captures, at the time of authentication to a secured session, secondary authentication data of the user that has authenticated using primary authentication credentials. Then, during the session, the system is caused to re-authenticate the user using the secondary authentication credentials (such as original and current user's face images). The system actively monitors the face visible to a camera of the computing device. The system compares the current face to the face image captured at the time of authentication. If the system fails to detect the same face captured initially at the time of authentication, then the system automatedly ends or otherwise locks the session to secure that session from an unauthorized user. Accordingly, the system does not rely merely upon initial authentication for an entire session, but rather reauthenticates the user during a single session in order for the session to be permitted to continue.

  • Publication number: 20250277719
Abstract: Systems and/or methods for determining the natural frequencies of rotating machinery systems, including complex rotating machinery systems such as the powertrains of vehicles powered by internal combustion engines, are disclosed. Embodiments include receiving information from a sensor related to the rotation of a component in the drivetrain (such as a rotating toothed gear), calculating a velocity of the component, calculating a transformed velocity of the component (such as by using a Fast Fourier Transform), selecting one or more shaft orders desired for analysis (such as those based on a predetermined set of likely shaft orders), selecting the amplitudes of the select shaft orders, normalizing the amplitudes, mapping the normalized amplitudes to the Hertz domain, calculating local maxima of the normalized amplitudes, and/or identifying frequencies associated with the calculated local maxima. Additional embodiments include repeating the procedures and identifying clusters of local maxima.

  • Publication number: 20240312625
Abstract: An assistive device detects deterioration of a person's health, e.g., in an at-home setting, and offers guidance/prompting designed to address or avoid a deteriorated state, based on the person's personalized care plan. A deteriorated state is detected by analysis of multi-faceted data relating to any characteristics usable to assess the person's health, e.g., biometric, activity, or environmental data, as well as data from interactive health assessment screenings delivered via the assistive device. The care plan can contain actions identified by a clinician, e.g., as part of a post-discharge safety plan, or self-identified actions, which may be stabilizing coping mechanism activities. The device may also provide reminders of clinician visits, wellbeing/other activities, medications, and daily affirmations. The device may be configured as a mirror to display the person's image and an avatar with which the person may communicate in a dialog session to provide for a welcoming and engaging experience.

  • Publication number: 20230247142
Abstract: A method and system for management of multi-party communications that is capable of intelligently assessing a first party/requestor's need and automatedly matching the first party's need to a suitable second party resource that is most probable to meet that need in an efficient manner. The system effectively serves as a chatbot-based (text-based or voice-based) switchboard operator that allows requestors to state a need for a service or consultation, and then automatedly have that need researched and/or matched to the most appropriate resource/service provider based on real-time automated inquiry and/or known data from past research. Further, the system is capable of contacting one or more resources/service providers, confirming that a particular resource/provider can meet the current need, and also coordinating/facilitating a communication session between the first party/requestor and the second party/resource without the need for human intervention.
