  • Publication number: 20020162366
Abstract: A security system for connecting a cable to consumer articles, such as cameras, and the like, to prevent unauthorized removal of the articles from a predetermined area while being displayed in retail establishments on open shelves. The system in its most basic form comprises a device including a security cable and a threaded fastener. The security cable is passed through the threaded fastener, and then the threaded fastener is attached into the body of the article. The threaded fastener head has a special configuration and cannot be removed without a special key, thereby preventing the unauthorized removal of the secured property. The threaded fastener also includes a circular borehole through the entire length of the threaded fastener to allow the cable to pass through the opening, and a step is provided inside the borehole to stop the cable from coming off the fastener.

  • Patent number: 5044200
Abstract: An all purpose lawn and garden marker which is molded of a plastic material and therefore can be inexpensively manufactured. In addition, the marker is adapted to hold the required notice that a lawn has been chemically treated as well as other advertising material. The marker also functions as a water gauge so that the homeowner can determine the extent to which the lawn has been watered. Further still, the marker has a mowing height gauge to aid the homeowner in cutting the grass to the proper level. The homeowner can also utilize the marker in his garden to post a notice as to what is planted in the garden and to indicate the extent to which his garden has been watered.

  • Patent number: 4997190
Abstract: A lawn dart which is of a two-piece construction and is molded of plastic. One piece of the lawn dart comprises a shaft having a plurality of fins formed on it (three as illustrated) for guiding the lawn dart in flight, and a blunt end which is formed to snap-fit into a tip for the dart which forms the second piece thereof. The tip for the dart is generally cup-shaped, and the free edge thereof is generally scalloped so as to provide an attractive appearance to the lawn dart when the two pieces are assemblied. Preferably and advantageously the tip is formed such that the blunt end on the shaft will snap fit into it for assembly, and further is formed to receive a weight within it.

  • Patent number: 4423551
Abstract: An improved utensil for cutting pizza or the like is disclosed having a sharpened cutting wheel and a planar blade with a sharpened edge, the edges of both the wheel and blade are aligned so that the cutting paths traversed by each coincide. The pizza crust edges and the pizza body can then be cut respectively by the blade and cutter wheel in one cutting stroke across the pizza. The blade end further includes angled corners for completely separating the pizza at the pan corners. The planar blade is of sufficient width to hold a piece of pizza thereon for serving, and includes a serrated cutting edge to aid in inserting the blade between the pizza and the pan.

  • Patent number: 4013086
Abstract: A combing device is provided which has a comb having a number of teeth, the comb being separable along the longitudinal axis thereof so as to be formed by a pair of complementary comb members of a substantially like construction. An insert of an absorbent material is removably retained between the pair of complementary comb members, and the insert extends laterally from the sides of the respective ones of the teeth and is discontinuous between adjacent pairs of the teeth so as to permit the combing device to be combed through the hair and to provide wiping surfaces between adjacent pairs of the teeth for engaging and thereby conditioning the hair as the combing device is combed through the hair. In addition, means are provided for releasably securing the pair of complementary comb members together with the insert therebetween.
