  • Patent number: 10294720
Abstract: A ladder includes a pair of generally curved side rails arranged in a spaced apart manner, a plurality of fixed rungs disposed between the side rails, a plurality of pairs of rung supports, and a plurality of hinged rungs. Each of the pairs of rung supports is horizontally aligned with each other and disposed on respective inner sides of the side rails. The rung supports are spaced apart from the fixed rungs along lengths of the side rails. Each rung support includes a flanged end portion having an aperture therein. Each hinged rung is associated with a respective pair of rung supports. Each hinged rung has a first end pivotally coupled to the flanged end portion of a first rung support in the respective pair of rung supports such that each hinged rung is pivotal between a secured position between the rung supports and a retracted position.

  • Patent number: 4134615
Abstract: This involves a seating setup for people sitting side by side in a relatively cold area such as a players' bench at a football field, in which a self-contained heater is preferably located parallel to and adjacent a back wall of the setup, which back wall together with front and side walls and seat and backrest form an enclosure underneath the seat and also in back of the backrest. Heat from the heater goes into a preferably perforated pipe running the length of the enclosure underneath the seat. The front wall has openings from the outside into small individual enclosures, which openings are positioned to admit the lower legs and feet of people sitting on the seat, and are covered by interior doors when not in use; the upper part of the backrest has openings from which hot air is directed downwardly on the shoulders and surrounding areas of the bodies of people sitting on the seat; within the back part of the enclosure are areas for warming such things as footballs and towels.

  • Patent number: 3948246
Abstract: The invention concerns heaters, particularly for sports benches and more especially for the benches on which substitute players of the team sit during games. In the preferred form, a self-contained heater such as a combustion operated construction heater with blower produces the heat behind the bench, and the heat is conducted through a conduit into the space beneath the bench, and then through a T-conduit in either direction to points from which it is distributed. The space beneath the bench confines the heat on the front, back, sides and bottom. Heat is distributed through openings in the top of the bench toward the back, and also through openings in the front of the bench, which may be at the top of the front of the bench and at the bottom of the bench. In a less preferred embodiment, heaters may be in spaces continuous with the bench.
