Further embodiments include, responsive to determining that the first motion-to-update latency exceeds a threshold: determining a motion-to-update latency of the mobile device in relation to receiving video content updates from a plurality of edge servers resulting in a plurality of motion-to-update latencies, identifying a second motion-to-update latency from the plurality of motion-to-update latencies that is below the threshold, identifying an edge server associated with the second motion-to-update latency, and transmitting video content to the edge server to mitigate the first motion-to-update latency. The edge server provides a portion of the video content at different time intervals to the mobile device and the video content comprises panoramic video content.

A mobile telecommunications device communicates with a mobile telecommunications service provider. The mobile telecommunications service provider receives a request to calculate a route to a destination. The mobile telecommunications service provider determines the location of the mobile telecommunications device from a global navigation satellite system or from a mobile telecommunications network and calculates a route. The mobile telecommunications service provider then identifies toll booths along the calculated route. The mobile telecommunications service provider pre-pays the tolls. The mobile telecommunications service provider sends turn-by-turn instructions to the mobile telecommunications device and tracks the location of the mobile telecommunications device and records the date and time at which the mobile telecommunications device passes through a toll booth.

Flow tables and group tables are managed to classify traffic with minimum table usage and update frequency. Media channels are established between clients through the OpenFlow®-enabled switches, relieving bottlenecks at the conferencing server.

    Abstract: A model-driven system automatically deploys a virtualized service, including multiple service components, on a distributed cloud infrastructure. A master service orchestrator causes a cloud platform orchestrator to retrieve a cloud services archive file, extract a cloud resource configuration template and create cloud resources at appropriate data centers as specified. The master service orchestrator also causes a software defined network controller to retrieve the cloud services archive file, to extract a cloud network configuration template and to configure layer 1 through layer 3 virtual network functions and to set up routes between them.
