  • Publication number: 20210408258
Abstract: Approaches for fabricating an integrated circuit structure including a titanium silicide material, and the resulting structures, are described. In an example, an integrated circuit structure includes a semiconductor fin above a substrate, a gate electrode over the top and adjacent to the sidewalls of a portion of the semiconductor fin. A titanium silicide material is in direct contact with each of first and second epitaxial semiconductor source or drain structures at first and second sides of the gate electrode. The titanium silicide material is conformal with and hermetically sealing a non-flat topography of each of the first and second epitaxial semiconductor source or drain structures. The titanium silicide material has a total atomic composition including 95% or greater stoichiometric TiSi2.

  • Patent number: 5908277
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lockbolt and a method for installing a lockbolt that removes a coating, such as a sealant that has inadvertently flowed into a hole into which the lockbolt is to be installed. The lockbolt and method prevent a coupling surface of the lockbolt from being contaminated by the coating.

  • Patent number: 5664311
Abstract: An automated assembly machine for fabricating large mechanical structures including a floor assembly jig for receiving and holding parts in a desired orientation, a pair of carriages, a first drive mechanism for independently driving the carriages longitudinally, a second drive mechanism for moving the carriages vertically, a tool tray mounted on the carriages, and a plurality of tools, including a drill, a hole diameter measurement probe, a nut runner, and an electromagnetic riveter, mounted on the tool tray for lateral movement toward and away from a workpiece clamp-up position. The tools are positioned at the workpiece clamp-up position by moving one of the carriages longitudinally along the floor assembly jig and raising the other carriage to elevate the tool tray to a desired elevation.

  • Patent number: 5254312
Abstract: An apparatus for obtaining a blood sample in a test tube from a sealed container. The apparatus includes a main body having a cup-like portion with side walls and a bottom portion cooperating to define a central cavity for receiving the sealed container. The main body also includes provisions which enable mounting to the test tube so that the cup-like portion extends into the test tube. A piercing element is positioned within the cavity and has a tip capable of penetrating the sealed container when the container is inserted into the cavity so that an opening is formed in the container through which the blood sample can be obtained in the test tube.

  • Patent number: 4268473
Abstract: A press caul suitable for embossing wood panels to produce textured wood surface designs is described. This caul is made by casting liquid, epoxy resin filled with aluminum powder against a panel surface bearing a textured design and applying sufficient heat to cure at least partially. The product caul may then be separated for use.If the desired degree of curing is not reached in the molding step, the caul may be baked. This ensures the permanency of the applied relief. In a further optional embodiment, the resin may contain a plurality of sheets of embedded fiberglass fabric to provide reinforcement.

  • Patent number: 4008154
Abstract: A wash liquid distributor for a rotary drum filter which distributes liquid uniformly across the filter cake and provides very effective washing. The distributor apparatus in its preferred embodiment comprises an elongated hollow pipe, one or more being used in parallel operation, each pipe having a multiplicity of evenly spaced and axially aligned small holes. Each hole imposes a substantial pressure drop on the fluid passing therethrough and creates a uniform distribution of the wash liquid along the distributor pipe. To avoid damage to the filter cake from the jets of liquid produced, a diffusion channel is provided which damps the kinetic energy of the jets and subdivides the liquid entering the channel. Upon leaving the diffusion channel the liquid is collected and redistributed from drip points spaced at intervals which are generally narrower than those of the holes in the distributor pipe.
