    Abstract: A fire dog for preventing logs from rolling out of a fireplace or stove includes a generally planar front member against which logs may rest, legs attached to the front member to keep the front member vertical, and a handle which is removably attached to the front member. The legs are designed to slide under conventional grates. The front member is designed to aid in creating an even burning fire.
