  • Patent number: 11593048
Abstract: A system for performing multifunction device session management includes a multifunction device and a computer-readable storage medium that includes one or more programming instructions. The one or more programming instructions cause the multifunction device to detect by one or more sensors of the multifunction device an indication that a session is to be initiated, in response to detecting the indication that the session is to be initiated, initiate the session, retrieve a device policy associated with the multifunction device from a data store associated with the multifunction device, identify a condition from the device policy, monitor for the occurrence of one or more triggers during the session, wherein each trigger is associated with the identified condition in the device policy, and in response to detecting that one or more of the triggers have occurred at the multifunction device, perform one or more actions pertaining to completion of the session.

  • Patent number: 11252285
Abstract: A menu of processing options of a publicly shared machine is presented on a user interface of a remote computerized device using an application (app). The publicly shared machine can include a printing component, a scanning component, a non-contact user identification component, etc. The app creates a job from options selected from the menu. The job is transmitted from the app to the publicly shared machine. The publicly shared machine notifies the app of availability to perform the job. In turn, the app provides a notice on the user interface of the remote computerized device that the publicly shared machine is available to perform the job. These methods further identify the user present at the publicly shared machine using the non-contact user identification component, allowing the publicly shared machine to perform the job based on the non-contact user identification, without requiring additional user interaction with the publicly shared machine.

  • Patent number: 6618170
Abstract: A color printer control system comprising a user interface for shifting color hue. A control panel display includes an illustrative representation such as a color spectrum bar for suggesting a color range for both the input document and the output document. The user interface has a selective control such as a slide bar including an indicator of a user preference relative to the color reference bar. The position of the slide bar represents the hue shift input by the user. A dynamic image representation, such as a photograph, concurrently adjusts its hue in accordance with adjustment of the color slide bar and the user command. The dynamic image shifts color hue to provide a more accurate indication of the effects of hue shift to the user.

  • Patent number: 6343686
Abstract: A low cost, high-speed device for rotating a variable thickness substrate stacks in a short distance, and with neatness and precision. The substrate stack rotating device includes a lower rotating disk and an upper rotating disk that are located in a substrate path to receive a moving substrate stack. The upper disk is driven downward such that a substrate stack is pinched between the lower and upper rotating disks. The resultant clamping force helps maintain substrate stack integrity and neatness. Once a substrate stack is clamped, one of the disks is rotated, bring the substrate stack into a desired orientation. The upper rotating disk is then released, the substrate stack beneficially moves away from the disks, and the substrate stack rotating device is ready to accept another substrate stack.
