  • Patent number: 11910781
Abstract: A computing system classifies each of a plurality of media units as either having or not having a characteristic of interest by testing the media units using a plurality of non-human animals. The testing comprises, for each of the media units and responsive to detecting a non-human animal at a location, sending the media unit to a media output device perceivable by the non-human animal from the location. The testing further comprises, for each of the media units, determining the classification of the media unit as either having or not having the characteristic of interest based on data derived, at least in part, from an input sensor configured to accept input from the non-human animal while the non-human animal is at the location.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 26, 2019
Date of Patent: February 27, 2024
    Assignee: Organic Intelligence Technologies, Inc.
Inventors: David Louis Roberts, John F. Wiederhirn

  • Patent number: 8180944
Abstract: In an embodiment, a system comprises a memory system and a guest interrupt manager. The guest interrupt manager is configured to receive an interrupt message corresponding to an interrupt that is targeted at a guest executable on the system. The guest interrupt manager is configured to record the interrupt in a data structure in the memory system to ensure that the interrupt is delivered to the guest even if the guest is not active in the system at a time that the interrupt message is received.

  • Patent number: 8176485
Abstract: The launching of a hypervisor after there is already a running operating system. The operating system itself may launch the hypervisor. The running operating system may be used instead of the hypervisor to discover the physical resources running on the computing system. Other operating systems or operating system instances may be launched after the hypervisor is operational.

  • Patent number: 7779275
Abstract: Communication of information via an in-band channel using a trusted configuration space is provided. The introduction of using a trusted configuration space associated with a computer bus system, such as PCI Express® (PCIe™), for example, enables the design of trusted computing platforms capable of providing compliant devices with assurance that their trusted configuration registers can only be accessed by software running in the trusted software environment. Establishing device trust in the software that initiates trusted configuration requests makes it possible to secure and control access to certain secret, sensitive, or personally-identifiable information these devices may contain (e.g., a uniquely-identifying public key, as described above or certificate which the device provides for revocation purposes).
