  • Publication number: 20240131153
Abstract: Compositions and methods for treating rheumatoid arthritis and/or accelerated atherosclerosis are provided, including an inhibitor of oxidized or malondialdehyde-modified low density lipoprotein (LDL) for administration to a subject. Exemplary inhibitors of oxidized LDL include an anti-oxidized LDL antibody, which results in a reduction in the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokine from primary monocyte in vitro and the plasma cytokine level of inflammatory cytokine in vivo.

  • Publication number: 20210205448
Abstract: Compositions and methods for treating a subject with psoriasis are provided, including an inhibitor of oxidized low density lipoprotein (LDL), malondialdehyde-modified epitope in LDL or native LDL for administration. Exemplary inhibitors of oxidized or malondialdehyde-modified LDL include orticumab, a variant antibody or peptides capable of binding oxidized or malondialdehyde-modified LDL, which results in improvement in conditions of psoriasis even in patients that are refractory to ultraviolet A/B therapy and topical steroids.

  • Patent number: 4537403
Abstract: A golf club putter comprising a novel flat shaft having a width to be conveniently grasped by the user and having a head at its lower end with flat sides paralleling the flat sides of the shaft so that the club is adapted for left and right hand use and wherein a hand grip is provided at the upper end of the shaft with flat sides and having a series of finger-node indents spaced lengthwise of the shaft as guides for placement by the user of his fingers such that when a short putt is required the user places his lowest finger node on the lowermost indent and progressively places the lowest finger node into the next higher indents for longer putts.

  • Patent number: 4006850
Abstract: A dispenser for candy or the like comprising a bottom bowl and an upper transparent cover through which a spoon is extended for dipping into the bowl to lift a spoonful of the contents and thereafter spilling it into a dispensing chute for discharge into the hand of a recipient. A deflectible cover is rotatably secured with the bowl to a support stand by a novel interlocking arrangement wherein the rim of the deflectible cover and the deflectible bowl are snapped into notches provided in the stand to form a unitary structure so that the removal of the cover is not readily discernable to prevent persons uncovering the device and reaching into the bowl to take excessive amounts of the sweets or because of dirty hands possibly contaminating the remaining contents. Also the rotational facility of the cover allows partitioning of the bowl so that different items may be placed at opposite sides of the partition and the cover rotated to accessibly position the spoon for right or left hand manipulation.
