    Abstract: A packaged replacement window includes a rectangular carton and two wood window sash, one overlying the other, within the carton. In addition, the packaged window includes two jamb weatherstrip and balance assemblies which are folded intermediate their ends and lie along the side walls of the carton outwardly from the side edges of the sash. The jamb weatherstrip and balance assemblies when removed from the carton will open to a straight condition, and in that condition the jamb weatherstrip and balance assemblies may be installed along the sides of a window opening where the sash may be engaged with them. A lid fits over the carton to completely enclose the sash and the jamb weatherstrip and balance assemblies that are within the carton. All the components necessary to install the replacement window are contained within the package which is easily stored, transported, and otherwise handled.
