  • Patent number: 6149156
Abstract: A card game having multiple rounds in which a player chooses which rounds to play and a number of locations on a displayed grid of hidden, randomly-selected cards for each chosen round. Each round has rules different from the other rounds. Cards later revealed at the chosen locations and at randomly selected locations are used to play the chosen rounds. • Patent number: 5951012
Abstract: The present invention provides for a poker game wherein the amount of successive wagers is pre-established. Each hand is preceded by players making at least one initial wager. A dealer also provides himself/herself with a plurality of cards and each player is displayed at least one card to form an initial partial hand. The players are given the opportunity to view their initial partial hands and are then required to increase their wagers by a predetermined amount in order to continue playing that hand. If the player increases his/her wager by the predetermined amount, then the player will be displayed at least one additional card. Various embodiments of the present invention require subsequent wagers in different amounts. For example, one embodiment requires a player to place two subsequent wagers in amounts equal to the player's initial wager in order to complete the hand. Alternative embodiments require players to make more than three subsequent wagers in equal amounts in order to complete the hand.

  • Patent number: 5944354
Abstract: A method for preventing fraud associated with instant game tickets by permanently alter the ticket to indicate which of the available selections the player wishes to play prior to giving the player the ability to reveal any selections. The ticket has an alteration site, which is a token or tag associated with each selection or a single printed or magnetic region. The alteration site is altered by punching a hole, cutting a notch, marking with ink, or changing the magnetic coding. The ticket may be altered after the player has chosen the selections or the player may be offered a ticket from a set of previously-altered tickets. The ticket may be altered or sold by a person or by a vending machine. The vending machine may allow the player to choose the selections, it may offer the player a choice of previously-altered tickets, or it may give the player a ticket with a random selection chosen.

  • Patent number: 5839731
Abstract: A casino game based on a selected card game in which a player wagers on one or more of a group of hands, and where the chances of winning are not enhanced by the skills of the player and no discretion in the selection of cards is vested in either the player or dealer. A card game, such as blackjack, baccarat, or stud poker, is selected. A number of hands are dealt as lines on a playing surface and players wager as to which hand will win. The playing surface has a dealer position including a line for each hand dealt, and player positions in a semicircle around the dealer position, each including a location at which wagers are placed. Winning wagers are paid a multiple of the wager. Optionally, the multiple is based on the odds of obtaining the particular winning combination.

  • Patent number: 5746432
Abstract: Games which use a plurality of distinct random value selectors for generating values. The relationship of the independently generated values is considered to determine whether one of a predetermined plurality of possible winning outcomes has occurred. According to one embodiment of the invention, a game is started by spinning a wheel having a plurality of indicia thereon. The indicia obtained from spinning the wheel establishes a first value. At least one, and preferably a plurality of cards, are then displayed and their values added. Cards are displayed until the cumulative value of the cards exceeds the first value obtained by the wheel. If the cards attain a value greater than the value obtained from the wheel without exceeding a predetermined value, for example, twenty-one (21), then the cards are determined to be winning. Otherwise, the wheel is considered to be winning. Players are also advantageously provided with a plurality of other wagering options.
