Abstract: A surgical device includes a handle assembly having a controller and an adapter assembly including a tubular housing having a proximal end portion configured to couple to the handle assembly and a distal end portion. The adapter assembly also includes a load sensing assembly disposed with the tubular housing. The load sensing assembly is configured to measure a load exerted on the tubular housing and includes: a sensor body having a pocket defined therein; a load sensor circuit disposed within the pocket and coupled to the sensor body; and a signal processing circuit disposed within the pocket and electrically coupled to the load sensor circuit. The load sensing assembly further includes a cover disposed over the pocket and enclosing the load sensor circuit and the signal processing circuit therein, the cover being coupled to the sensor body thereby forming a first hermetic seal therebetween.

Abstract: A metadata editor processes the metadata track of a multimedia composition to synchronize the metadata track with a video track and identify any errors in the metadata track internally or relative to the video track. The metadata editor effectively divides the metadata track into segments, displays breaks on the video and metadata tracks to show the metadata segments relative to the video track, characterizes each segment as being either erroneous (e.g., warranting attention by the user) or consistent (e.g., not warranting attention by the user), and highlights erroneous metadata segments, e.g., by displaying erroneous metadata segments using a different color, pattern, or other visual indicator than consistent metadata segments. The metadata editor provides various mechanisms to allow the user to manipulate the metadata track in order to correct erroneous metadata segments.

Abstract: A tank assembly suitable for use in the transport of liquids, the tank assembly including at least two tank sections which are adapted to be fitted together in an assembled position. Each tank section includes an end wall, the end walls being adjacent one another when the tank sections are in the assembled position. The end walls have cooperating formations thereon which are adapted to cooperate with one another so as to limit relative movement between the tank sections at least in one direction when in the assembled position.

The body has a mechanism on a proximal end thereof which holds the cartridge therein. The body and shield have cooperating detents and detent pockets which allow the shield to be directed distally, from an unguarded position in which the needle on the cartridge is uncovered for delivery of medication, to a guarded position in which the needle is permanently covered for disposal. The body may also include a substantially rectangular-shaped finger grip on its proximal end for receiving a similarly shaped proximal flange on the cartridge, whereby the cartridge is received in a predetermined orientation.

Abstract: A new DOOR IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM for ALLOWING HOMEOWNERS TO RECEIVE AND VERIFY IDENTIFICATION FOR A PERSON KNOCKING ON THEIR DOOR. The inventive device includes an interior door sleeve positioned within a hole through a door. A sliding tray is slidably received within the interior door sleeve. The sliding tray includes an outwardly sliding portion and an inwardly sliding portion with a hinge disposed therebetween. A safety clip is secured to and extends upwardly from a front wall of the inwardly sliding portion of the sliding tray.

Abstract: A device for exercising pelvic floor muscles by insertion into the vagina of a woman comprises at least one weight, and a casing with two or more parts releasably and sealingly connected, to define an internal cavity for receiving one or more of the weights. The cavity is preferably of plastics material, the parts having a snap fit connection, and a retrieval tag may also be incorporated. A set of weights is preferably provided, so that the mass of the device can be varied by choosing one or more of the weights.
