  • Patent number: 11070392
Abstract: A system and method for provisioning internet access to guests of a travel facility is provided. A number of access points are in electronic communication with a gateway device which is in electronic communication with a property management system (PMS) and a router. The PMS includes identifying information for guests registered with the travel facility. An API gateway and a central destination server are in electronic communication with the gateway device by way of the internet. The central destination server receives a request to connect to the internet from a personal electronic device and grants internet access if the personal electronic device is recognized as having previously been granted internet access for a duration of time and if the current time is within the duration of time.

  • Publication number: 20170287087
Abstract: A system and method for provisioning Internet access services to guests of a facility (e.g., one or more hotel chains). Equipment and devices for access service are installed throughout the facility. Each device that supports the Internet access services has a unique identifier. Zones representing various public and private areas within each facility are defined and one or more devices are associated with each zone. Service offerings for wired and wireless connections are defined and associated with one or more zones. Service offerings are also paired with pricing plans that provide various payment options and amounts. A web-based administration application allows an administrator to define and manage service offerings associated with the zones. The application also allows the administrator to define and manage the pricing plans. The ability to customize offerings in each facility allows development of consistent offerings, regardless of the size or layout of the facility.

  • Patent number: 4828635
Abstract: A laminated, thermal insulation panel comprises a board made of expanded, molded polystyrene, and a membrane laminated on one side of the polystyrene board by means of an adhesive. The board and membrane are both permeable to water vapor, but the membrane is also impervious to air and moisture. The adhesive is applied under the form of strips and presents permeability to water vapor while being compatible with both the board polystyrene and the membrane material. Accordingly, the adhesive does not chemically attack the polystyrene and membrane material, whereby the water vapor permeability and air/moisture imperviousness of the latter are not affected. It can be appreciated that the resulting insulation panel is impervious to air and moisture from the outside but is permeable to water vapor from the inside. The joints between adjacent, laminated insulation panels are sealed by means of an adhesive tape applied on the membranes of the adjacent panels.
