A drain assembly coupled to the ultrasonic cleaner provides an advantageous configuration for dispensing cleaning and/or sterilizing fluid and the like from the apparatus.

The bottom product supporting wall is characterized by being elevated at its center portion, such as is provided by a quadrilateral pyramid-like bottom product-supporting wall with the apex of said quadrilateral pyramid being at the center portion of the bottom wall and at an elevation higher than the horizontal plane of the bottom of the four corners of said tray, whereby, when the commodity to be packaged is placed in the tray, the weight of said commodity presses the bottom wall of the tray downwardly resulting in the longer sidewalls of the tray being pulled inwardly.

Abstract: Thermoformed cups, having elements adapted to provide a stable handle, which are nestable in a small space, the handle including a tab extending radially from the brim of the cup and a hinged flange at each side of the tab. To form the handle the flanges are turned down and are retained by shoulders of a recess in the upper surface of the cup. Weight of liquid in the cup causes the flanges to bear against the side of the cup to afford stability in addition to that resulting from retention by said shoulders.

Abstract: Stability of a thermoformed foam meat tray, especially to overwrapping by machine, is enhanced by a circumferential flange of the side walls of generally V-shaped cross section to terminate at approximately the plane of the bottom of the tray. Full nestability is afforded by upper surfaces of the flange at an angle to each other smaller than the corresponding angle between lower surfaces of the flange.

Abstract: A self-draining saucer is provided by combination of two concave discs (saucer shape). The lower disc has a central well defined by a depressed central bottom and circular wall. The upper disc is formed such that its bottom convex surface generally follows the concave upper surface of the lower disc. A vertical surface on the under side of the upper disc frictionally engages a similar surface inside the lower disc to retain the pair. Holes are provided through the top disc above the well in the lower disc for drainage of spilled liquid into the well. The combination is easily formed of thermoplastic resin and assembled on standard thermoforming machinery.
