Abstract: In a digital image administration method and system, a database of image records is maintained. Data sets are provided. The data sets are each associated with a respective image record. The data sets each include data in a plurality of the categories: capture related data, intrinsic image data, image usage data, and user reaction data. A plurality of the data sets have missing data in different combinations of the categories. A value index of each of the image records is generated from the respective data set. The image records are managed responsive to respective value indexes.

Abstract: In an imaging evaluation method, camera, and system, a scene is imaged with a camera. User inputs to the camera are received concurrent with the imaging. The inputs each define a setting of one of a plurality of operational functions of the camera. The inputs are valued to provide a set of input values. An image value index is calculated using the input values.

Abstract: In an image record organization method, camera, and system, a plurality of image records are provided and a value index is determined for each of the image records. The image records are classified into unacceptable records having respective value indexes within a predetermined threshold and acceptable records having respective value indexes beyond the threshold. Abstract: A photographic system for producing an enhanced photographic product is provided. The system includes a database for storing custom content for a plurality of events. The system also includes a digital image capture device for receiving a digital image and information defining the time and geographic location the digital image was captured and automatically determining if the time and the geographic information corresponds to one of the plurality of events stored in the database and a processor for producing an enhanced photographic product including the received digital image and at least a portion of the custom content corresponding to the digital image for the one of the plurality of events found in the database.

Abstract: A system and method of authenticating a digital still image captured using a digital image capture device. To process the digital still image for later authentication, a signature data is transmitted from a remote location to the digital image capture device. Upon capturing the digital still image, an image identification is associated with the digital still image. The signature data is then applied to the captured digital still image to produce an authentication signature representative of the captured digital still image. The authentication signature is associated with the image identification and transmitted from the digital still image to the remote location for storage at the remote location. To verify the authenticity of the digital still image, the digital still image is transmitted to the remote location. The signature data for the transmitted digital still image is accessed and applied to the transmitted digital still image to produce a verification signature.
