    Abstract: A deployable platform for use in conjunction with an outwardly opening hinged door on the body structure of a vehicle is described which comprises a hydraulically or pneumatically actuated platform pivotally mounted to the vehicle at the doorway opening and connected to the door by an over center linkage member pivotally connected at one end to the door and at the other to the platform whereby the platform may be deployed and releasably locked into place simultaneously with the opening of the door.
