  • Patent number: 5730658
Abstract: A system for attaching a scoring display unit to a fastening band of a glove. The fastening band includes a top strap, and a back surface patch for the top strap. Confronting surfaces of the top strap and the back surface patch comprise cooperating interengaging means, such as hooks and loops of VELCRO fabric. The scoring device of the invention includes a rotary, numbered disc scoring device having protrusions around the periphery which are engaged by a finger to rotate the disc as each golf shot is taken. A scoring window in the front side permits viewing of the selected score number. A fabric hook strip is attached on each end of the scoring device, the unit is placed on the top side of the top strap, wrapped under the glove flap and the hook strip engages the loop fabric of the glove strap. The assembly is then placed over the top of a glove top strap and fastened to the loop VELCRO on the underside of the glove top strap.

  • Patent number: 5359738
Abstract: A device for wetting toilet tissue comprising a small, enclosed reservoir fitted with air vents, a finger actuated valve lever, an inlet and outlet orifice and a water flow controlling valve. The device attaches to a bracket that is secured at the other end to the upper toilet bowl flange by one of the toilet seat mounting screws and nuts, positioning the device under the water closet tank and protruding slightly forward. The water is supplied via a small plastic flexible tubing connected to a tubular "T" that is installed between the water closet overflow pipe and the orifice nozzle that is part of the water closet filling ballcock valve. Water flows into the small capacity reservoir whenever the toilet is flushed. To minimize having cold water replacing the ambient-air warmed water in the reservoir, a float actuating lever closes the input orifice when the reservoir is full. A venting orifice allows the release of air being displaced by the inflowing water.

  • Patent number: 5353439
Abstract: A system for attaching a scoring display unit to a fastening band of a glove. The fastening band includes a top strap, and a back surface patch for the top strap. Confronting surfaces of the top strap and the back surface patch comprise cooperating interengaging means, such as hooks and loops of VELCRO fabric. The scoring device of the invention is affixed to a strip of plastic and then cemented to a strip of hook VELCRO. The assembly is then placed over the top of a glove top strap and fastened to the loop VELCRO on the underside of the glove top strap. In a preferred embodiment, the scoring device consists of a flexible plastic strip and plastic beads connected thereto and together by a linkage of nylon thread. A second embodiment includes a rotary, numbered disc scoring device. The scoring device may also be affixed directly to the glove tab.

  • Patent number: 4685759
Abstract: An incandescent lamp socket comprises a housing for receiving the base portion of an incandescent lamp and switch means for selectively connecting the lamp's contacts to a source of electrical energy. Such switch means comprises a rotatably mounted cylindrical sleeve which surrounds the socket housing, and means responsive to rotational movement of the sleeve relative to the housing for selectively connecting the lamp contacts to the energy source. Preferably, such connecting means comprises a planetary ring gear disposed along the interior wall of the sleeve, a cooperating pinion gear mounted for rotational movement on the socket housing, cam means rigidly coupled to the pinion gear and rotatable therewith, and electrically energized cam follower means, movable in response to the cam means to selectively energize certain socket electrodes which are connected to the contacts of a lamp supported by the socket housing.

  • Patent number: 4624018
Abstract: Apparatus for selectively dispensing either of two different volumes of water from a water closet comprises a mechanism for latching a valving member (e.g. a flapper valve) in a position just short of a threshold position at which it would normally "flip" to its full flush position, and for unlatching such member, after a predetermined quantity of water has flowed from the tank, to allow it to return to its closed (sealing) position.
