  • Publication number: 20020179830
Abstract: The geometry of a Halbach Dipole Array is ideal for use as a magnetic field source in a small nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, especially for spectrometers used for online process control. Use of Halbach Dipole Arrays as a magnetic field source for nmr spectroscopy has not previously been commercially feasible due to lack of economical processes or devices to improve the field homogeneity of these magnets, and the magnetic field of an unmodified Halbach Dipole Array is not sufficiently homogeneous to allow observation of a nuclear magnetic resonance signal.
